Talking about My latest Book-Tanzy

I parked right outside the door, guessing that whoever’s space it was, they weren’t going to be needing it.

I rang the bell and a voice said – hello Tom, I’ll be right down. A very pleasant young lady soon arrived, pressed the button, and the plate glass door slid back. Come in she said.

How did you know it was me? I saw you on the camera and recognised you from the photograph in your book. That made me almost like a celebrity.
She introduced herself as Mia – spelt MEAH. I said that’s a nice soft sounding name, where does it come from. My parents made it up she replied. Well, they could have called you Zoe, which is a much more pointy name don’t you think?
Yes – my sister’s name is Zoe, and she’s taller than me.

I made myself comfortable in the reception and was given a glass of water in a blue transparent glass, which made me feel strangely relaxed (do they put something in it).

Soon Mia took me through the office with its array of black desks and blank screens, to the control room. I was introduced to Tiffany who made me feel comfortable and at home – I have been in a few radio stations before, but this one head a very calm atmosphere.

She held up the book, and said how much she enjoyed reading it, which made me realise that she would ask the right questions.

We spent a very pleasant few minutes chatting about Tanzy and other things.

Here’s my Radio interview about Tanzy- I enjoyed chatting to Tiffany, I hope you enjoy hearing us talk!

PS. Not wanting to chance any traffic jams, as there seems to be an epidemic of them around here.

I arrived at quarter of an hour early in Truro for my radio interview, so I drove along Malpas Road to Boscawen Park and watched the Sun go down over Truro Cathedral.
