Dream #88

It's 3:38 am.

I'm standing in the kitchen of a beautiful house in the country. The sun is shining, and outside there are trees and green meadows. But I am in the kitchen, cleaning out the fridge.

I come across a lump of grey putty-like substance, that I realise is essence of red wine. (this is a dream remember - and anything can happen, and make sense, for a dream has its own internal, unfathomable logic).

I break a piece off, and pop in my mouth. It tastes very pleasantly of red wine, and is highly alcoholic.

The door opens and my daughter enters with a friend who I have not met before.

The friend Is eager to try this tasty looking morsel.

Before I can say a word, she has taken some. No sooner is it in her mouth, than she gasps "it's rosé! – and I'm allergic to rosé).

She collapses in a dead feint, I catch her, and lay her carefully down on the slate floor.

I feel responsible, for she looks as if she might die.

However, cold logic takes over and I pick her up and walk her out into the meadow, whereupon she quickly recovers.

Then I remember that it's red wine putty, and not Rose.

Relief floods through me as I realise that she is going to be alright, and that is what wakes me up.

Now the time is 10:35am. I must post this and get dressed, otherwise the day will evaporate before anything is accomplished.

See you all again soon x
